Title: FDSStick files missing/CRC error
Post by: RedRiolu on November 30, 2021, 02:04:11 pm
I just bought an FDSstick and when I tried to read a disk I got this error that said:

Reading...
Block 1, 0000-0037: Disk 1 side 1
Block 2, 0038-0039: 7 files
Block 3, 003A-0049: File 0, NT @ 2800(E0)
Block 4, 004A-012A: data
Block 3, 012B-013A: File 1, CHR @ 0(2000)
1 files read (6 missing?)

The file that saves after that is unplayable. I tried a couple of other games and unfortunately I get the same issue every time.

any help would be appreciated!

Thank you in advance  :D

Sometimes you need to read disks multiple times. If it says there are missing files, it's not reading the data correctly or completely from the disk.

Try cleaning the disk surface and head in the drive with isopropyl. Be gentle with the disk and use the alcohol sparingly on a q-tip.
