I second total drama island. Same with disney, any non cartoon disney program is shit. Why not play their good stuff? Playing fucking jonas brothers when their are masterpieces like Darkwing duck. Its a disgrace, and i believe it symbolizes the fall of humanity.

I used to despise Bobby's World when I was a kid. Anyone remember that show? Yet I remember watching it often as well. Sometime what you do as a kid makes no sense.
The only things I watch on TV are new episodes of House MD, How it's Made, Keeping up Appearances (rarely), 24, Dr. Know (when it was on), I do believe that is all I ever watch on TV. I detest TV that much.

I completely agree. Okay, maybe Icarley isn't as bad as the other teen shows I have seen and I have seen a plenty (just to analyze them for my own curiosity) but it still sucks like the rest of them. Hell; Cartoon Network actually has adult dialogue and a few kid unsavory situation filled shows like Teenten or some show named that. I steer clear away from almost all television articles including the news.

The adult things they say and reference have got my attention to start a petition shutting down Cartoon Network. I would start a petition to force them to tone down if they were a Mom and Pop station but since they are a cooperation, I'll set out to destroy them.

Adult Swim has it's own channel in Canada (Or maybe it's a channel with several late night shows from different networks like Adult Swim) Either way, if they did shut down CN, that doesn't mean Adult Swim would cease to exist.

I disagree, they still broadcast Tom & Jerry and other good shows likw scooby doo and etc. All the old ones are good. But the new shows are crap, Total drama island is terrible, i don't think kids should watch it.

I think this whole thread is hilarious. The "older is better" mentality is never quite right -- and the fact that it's coming mostly from teenagers here just adds to my amusement.
TV is about 2% good stuff and 98% crap. It's been this way for decades. It's not that the 70's and 80's and 90's were great times for TV, it's just that people only choose to remember the 2% that was worth watching.

When i was a lad, like 8 or so, i loved scooby doo. It played right after school. Nowadays if i watch a cartoon. Itll probably be family guy, south park, a superhero show, or some anime.

You are thinking of the old Cartoon Network that died at around 2001.
Yeah, I remember when cartoon network didn't use to abbreviate their name to CN. It used to be a checkerboard type thing.
They also used to have Cartoon Fridays which wasn't so bad. The Care Bears were bad, however. The Disney Channel is now bad and Nicktoons started turning into a teen channel at around 2001. Hey Arnold was the best show.

The original show is okay, but it's not near as bad as people put it out to be.
But, CN is still going way to far from it's roots. I have no problem with them making new shows, but they should limit themselves to animation (GEE, CARTOON NETWORK?!?!), and the 90's Cartoon Cartoons should be a block on CN. Not on Boomerang, that is where classic Hannah and Barbara belong.
Also, where I live, we still have a few Cartoon Cartoons left.

Well of course the crap is gonna suck. I'm saying stuff like Flapjack, The Secret Saturdays, Batman: The Brave And The Bold, and Chowder are all pretty okay. I just think they need to do a big purge on the crap they ARE letting on the air.
Not to mention if you got rid of Cartoon Network as a channel all together you'd be getting rid of animators who had a shot to make it big, but can't make a name for themselves because it's gone. Sorry but Disney and Nick don't seem like viable options anymore to me.
