They're from turkey meat ! (i mean the bird - turkey not the country), i love to cook so much this kind of meals...
Green tea? I love it! It's better than coffee IMO. :)
I had a meatball marina sub from Subway with a load of jalapenos stuck on it. :P
Meatballs here too! :) With spaghetti and cheese. Much simpler than above picture but still pretty good. Fcgamer you may not have meatballs there but you sure have great tea! I bought a lot of Taiwanese tea when I was there and gave to relatives and friends. :D

No need to explain this one to me, or show pics ;)
Where I used to live in America, there was a Bosnian restaurant that opened up, about three years ago. I became friends with the owner, and although the restaurant was about half an hour from where I lived, I always tried to make it in there once or twice a month, as the food was great, the owner was friendly, and it was just a great experience overall. I would always order Chevapi.
A good friend of mine (Bosnian) would always order this for me when I came to him and his wife's house for dinner. Last time I was with my friend(about 6 months ago when I went back to the USA), I was lucky enough to sample some homemade Plum brandy (I forget the name, slivovitz or rakija or something like that) that my friend smuggled back on his last trip to visit his homeland in Croatia. :)
I hope to go to your country some day mate, I really do, as it is a dream of mine.
Anyway, for lunch, I had some rice with turkey, and some tofu and pork. For dinner I had some more rice and some beef.
Hey fcgamer, You're so good at knowing all this stuff from the parts of world where i live!!
Yes! You're right about the drink - it's rakija or shljivovitza! My grandpa have a full basemant of this alchoholic drink. It's so hard drink and i personally do not drink it... only when i'm on wedding party, but that's rarely.
Today i had some italian speciality - Lasagne Bolognese... (that's with minced meat and tomato sauce)!
I haven't had lunch today, but yesterday I had chicken et la king. I just love that stuff for some reason :) oh, and an apple, an orange, a butterscotch pudding and a bottle of water.
Burek!
;D

Burek!
;D
Oh, I think I know this dish too! This is the dish that has two different styles, depending on which country and region (Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia) you are from, right? I think this is the one my friend was complaining about, as the local restaurant did not make it in the style that he preferred, so when he went back home, he bought and ate 4 or 5 in one night for dinner ;D
I just had some left over pizza for lunch and for dinner. Tasty enough, but not as good as the pizza I can get in America, or in Germany for that matter. Of all the pizzas in the world, which I have sampled, my favorite has to be that from Germany.
Burek is actually Bosnian meal, it's practically meat pie but the paste is much thinner than normal pie and inside goes minced meat with onion...
That's original Burek. In Croatia there are also variations... like Burek with cottage cheese, with apples, with cherries, with spinach...
In my opinion the best is original Burek with meat!!! :)
:o Burek sounds similar to aussie meat pies. I'm having beef jerky and lemonade for lunch because I am too tired and lazy for anything fancy.
Maybe.
Here's how it looks:
(example pic)
Our meat pies are single serves :) but the innards look about the same unless you go fancy with the pies. My favourite it steak and bacon pie :D
For lunch I had fried rice, which was quite nice. For dinner, I just had a crappy peanut butter sandwich, heh. It is about a week before my monthly payday, so it's time to start carefully guarding my wallet again.
Fish with quinoa, almonds and cabbage! What a combination ;D
Codfish on Bilbao way!

PB&J sandwich!
I am going to start eating PB&J about three or four days for lunch. I really haven't done that so much, since I was a child, but a few weeks ago I gave it a go for a few times and it worked rather nicely.
Yeah, I eat PB&J for lunch almost every day. I just want to get lunch over with quickly so that I can go home earlier. For me, my week is usually: PB&J, PB&J, PB&J, PB&J, Taco Bell.

I saw you had mentioned this before...how is PB&J for your health? Pretty healthy, good for a weight loss mechanism or?
I find that the busier I become, the less I want to worry about having to prepare a big lunch and or dinner. And to eat out all the time can become expensive, even in Taiwan, and then I tend to overeat as well, as the food here is so delicious.
So I am thinking that PB&J is a good solution...eat one of those, once a day as well as one "real" meal and a breakfast.

OT: Mountain Style Beans (beans with mushrooms, minced meat and sausages)
Ham and cheese sandwich, eaten at the counter while playing Plants vs Zombies 2 on my phone. Kind of sad now that I think about it, haha.

And no of course it's not very healthy Fcgamer! Especially eating the same thing over and over.
My lunch today: Spaghetti with meat sauce. I often eat different kinds of spaghetti dishes (I told you I'm not very varied :-[).

Had a birthday dinner with my brother at Sizzler!
Seafood with rice and bulgur :D
I had Mr. Noodles and a glass of Pepsi.
About the new years resolutions, I wanted to cut down on my consumption of alcohol and such things. It's been more of a taper than anything but slowly I'm getting there. :)

Roast beef sandwich with cheese and mustard, nuked for a minute.
The roastbeef sandwich sounds quite nice, sans the mustard though.

I had turkey, rice, braised pork with sauce, and tofu. Very yummy meal. For dinner I had fried dumplings, noodles with sauce, and soy milk. Also very good.
That's really pancakes from the oven, first we make regular pancakes in pan, than fill them with minced meat or cheese and put them in the oven!
It's great meal, almost better when served cold, with yoghurt! ;)
A big fat bacon, egg and sausage baguette. Was incredible.

I'm not a big fan of yoghurt tbh, but while living in Germany I had a Bulgarian friend who was big into that stuff. One day she even bought me some yoghurt to try, but while it is something I can eat, it just doesn't do much for me as a whole. The Bulgarian girl eventually ended up sleeping with the Turkish guy who lived on our floor, and also ended up digging through our garbage to recycle bottles to try to pay tuition costs (she quickly lost her scholarship, I guess), but that is a different story altogether.
In Swedish we call that "thick pancake" or "oven pancake" if translated to English. In some northern regions it's just called "pancakes" and pancakes made in a pan are called "plättar" in those regions, which is what the rest of us call smaller pancakes made in a pan especially made for plättar.
I've never eaten any kind of pancakes with yoghurt though, only with jam. We have our own kind of yoghurt-like food called "fil" (but we don't eat that with pancakes either).
beans with hot sauce and chow chow

Usual Sunday lunch, but then i tryed some Pomelo , cool Asian fruit :o
I really don't care for Pomelo too much...the fruit has not so much flavor compared to other citrus fruits, and the skin is thicker. Once I received two whole boxes of these as a gift, and so I had to find something to do with them since I was averaging eating about one every four days, and I didn't want to waste them. So I crushed them up and used it as a base for some homemade wine, which turned out excellent.
Well, on the other hand You're right, it maybe looks better than it tastes, anyway it's too expensive and i don't think i'll buy it anymore...
A pitiful macdonalds bacon double cheeseburger meal. Regretted it ever since!

Fish soup, amaranth and spinach.
Chicken on the barbecue !
I had some garlic sausage and pickles lol. Not much of a lunch bet thats alright. I had chinese food for dinner.
Wiener schnitzel. dill sauce, cucumber's salad, potatoes.
I had two traditional, hand-made rice dumplings to eat with the celebration of dragon boat festival. A few nights ago when I had these, they tasted very good, but I think that maybe that must have been around the time I was getting sick, as I had no desire for them as I smelled the aroma, when I was heating some up for lunch today. I forced myself to eat some, but I had no desire to eat anything, no appetite...which is a bit of a strange thing for a guy who loves to eat!
Just finished my lunch: Spaghetti bolognese with salad and for desert - green apple :)

You gotta eat through the menus at different restaurants to get more varried food. Eating out in Sweden generally means it's expensive, not too much to choose from, tastes bad (even my own crappy cooking is often better) and nobody complains.
Catfish and spinach with potatoe salad.
Rice with mushrooms and cabbage...
Macdonalds
More noodles and fish balls...
Sardines and rice.

I checked my BMI the other night, and it appears that I am borderline obese, if not mildly obese. I knew I was overweight, but this came as a surprise to me, since I often go for a job, upwards of 6 or 7 k, without issue. I guess this just proves that sumos can run as well as anyone else ;)
Because of that, I decided to try to eat healthier meals. I wanted to have some rice with turkey today, but the shop is apparently closed on Tuesdays. My other favorite shop is also closed that day, so I decided to go across the street and grab some fried chicken, white rice, and veggies, a set meal. It didn't do wonders for my diet, I am sure, but tomorrow I will be on track again. :)
BMI is a good guideline but it just looks at weight and height and doesn't care about muscle mass. I was also close to obese once even though I was training regularly. I just increased my training a bit and my obesity disappeared.
Now I don't have as much time so my training time decreased and my BMI got worse again...

Oh wow, that sounds nice.
For lunch I had the same old same old, noodles with fish ball in them. So tasty, and the owners of the shop are quite friendly too. They know I don't want the small onion pieces in mine, so they usually just prepare mine without tossing the onions in at the end, without me saying anything. But on extremely busy days, they sometimes mess up and throw onions in, and I've even seen the owner start picking them out for me! Of course I tell him that it is no big deal, and figure I will pick them out when I get home, but it just shows you something about mindset and service here in Taiwan.
I had fairy bread
krvavica / blood sausage / black pudding
(many names for that dish)
I love blood pudding. Blood sausage is an entirely different dish though although also based on animal blood.
I didn't know that! ;)
today i had fish filets and potatoe salad.
Well maybe not entirely different. Blood pudding doesn't look like sausages unlike blood sausage. The taste is different too (haven't eaten blood sausage too often though).
Had lamb steak today.
Lunch I had more fish ball noodles. I was originally supposed to go out with a friend, but it seems that I was stood up :'( Maybe because it was election day here, my friend got too busy, I'm not sure. But I just heard crickets from them and felt lousy about it.
For dinner I had a craving for instant noodles, so that is what I got.
Mangel, cous-cous and some fish fillets.
cabbage rolls , traditional new year meal

Chipolata sausages with a tin of Heinz spaghetti bolognese. It was nice :P
today i had čevapi with onion and french fries and rice with ajvar

I had chips topped with cheese and bacon at a local Wetherspoons today, along with some chicken bites at the side. Just a light lunch, but was enough to do me for the rest of the day :)
My wife bought Bento so we ate Bento. Bento...not very delicious to be honest, but don't tell her please. :fire:
Had chicken korma along with poppadoms, onion bhajis, vegetable samosas and garlic naan for my lunch at a Wetherspoon's today. It was the best ever :D
