quick question about the AV Famicom

In order to use it in the US, can the stock AC Adapter be used, or is there a certain AC adapter that is easily found that works with issue (ie: blowing up the system). I'm assuming that they play just fine on US TVs otherwise right? (with the Famicom Everdrive out, I'm thinking about picking up one, but the AC issue is something I've been wondering about.)

A model 1 sega genesis psu will work just fine,it's what I use on my av fami.
