Hey all, just decided to create this post as my Famicom is experiencing some problems.
Now, when I plug it into the wall (I own a 3rd party AC adapter), without turning on the Fami, it creates this strange lightshow on the screen. When I turn the Fami on, the video is highly distorted.

It is AV modded.

I decided to film it since as they say, a picture (or rather a video!) is worth a thousand words, and it's much easier to show than to explain.

Thank you!  ;D

Show us the mod inside may be it is very poorly made. Or your TV is not in NTSC mode

Nah, I have a Famicom AV which works.
I can't really open it at the moment, as it hasn't been opened in a while and my screwdriver doesn't really work well.

My first thought was that the TV doesn't support 60 Hz vsync. Or did anything NTSC work before?

NTSC definitely works on it, I've tried.
