help on DB9 joypad pinout for famiclone (pics inside)

Hiya!

a friend gifted me a famiclone, it works great but I have no pads for it. It has standard DB9 connectors but megadrive pads don't work OK.
It has a built-in multicart that works when the slot is not occupied. It has 2 banks and you press reset to switch between them.

The shell is complete and just needs a good cleaning. But the pads are another story, is there a chance anyone here has a pinout?

I have that same famiclone, but mine doesn't have incorporated games. I made a simple adaptor to use NES gamepads on it, the pinout is here:

The image shows the NES connector port and the DB-9 female por (the ones used to make the adaptor) both from the solder side. If you have any questions, PM me, or ask here.

can this switch between pal/ntsc? IIRC my unit is pal

AFAIK, the gamepads are the same wether you have an NTSC or PAL system. However, if your famiclone is NTSC and you want to convert it to PAL, then you need to replace some parts for it (I believe a crystal, the CPU and maybe PPU need to be replaced).
