Is this a Hong Kong PAL mod?

So, I was searching for a solution to my problem and I found this thread:
http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=4138.0

And I determined that the console I have in my possession is an unlicensed mod of some sort, but I'm not sure
exactly in what way. I assume its Pal, because it is not working on an NTSC tv (it does have dc power going through all the way to the cartridge connector),
and it closely matches the description.

I can't be certain though, and since the pics in the aforementioned post are now gone, I have nothing to compare it to. Here are some pics of my own:

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what it is exactly that I have, and from there, what to do with it to get it working with regular ol NTSC-jap games?

Thanks,
Mark

Too bad that those pics are gone. Here's another thread with pictures of the same RF-board: http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=8687.5. It has a "Makko Toys ltd" logo and a "Family Game" logo, yours seems to be different though.

As long as you don't have some PAL famiclone (you haven't shown the main board yet) you should be able to play NTSC games (even if it's PAL it should be able to play many NTSC games). But if that RF-board doesn't work with your TV you might have to AV mod it.

First of all replace big capacitor on RF board - it doesn't looks good.
NTSC(60Hz) games on PAL(50Hz) should be possible, but with slower tempo of the sound and gameplay.
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

The main board is the hvc-cpu-07. Seems legit to me. Can upload pics if you want.

I will try the capacitor replacement, and let ya guys know if that works. Thanks for the help.

Have you got an oscilloscope? If so, when you probe the RF out signal, does it look like a PAL/NTSC(-J) signal?

Also, yes, clear pics of the board will help.
