There are no bad games in the world

Ever noticed how there are no bad games? It seems to me like any game that most people generally hate, there are a cluster of people out there that like and defend. Simple examples would be E.T, Superman 64, Zelda CD-i, Action 52 and even Bubsy 3D.

Most games have at least some redeeming quality, even if it is a sort of `so bad it is good` thing.

Week of Garfield and Transformers are two of my favorite Famicom games, yet both are pretty awful by most conventional measures of game quality.

I love Bokosuka Wars. Love it.

I liked bubsy 3d on the PSX even though it was very glitchy with a shitty camera and no real textures( everything was checkered from what I remember)

A lot of the worst games are worth playing either for their historical significance or because they create examples of what makes game design successful or unsuccessful. Like I enjoy playing Transformers: Convoy no Nazo with friends because it becomes hilarious just trying to complete the first level.

And plenty of the games that make "top 10 worst" lists or have low review scores were just victims of the staggered release dates of the FC/NES - like how most westerners think Xevious and Star Force are tedious and boring, but they were some of the most popular FC games in Japan. Americans had seen more technically advanced programs already, and didn't have the cultural frameworks to appreciate them.

Anyway, yeah, I agree with your point.  ;D
