Is the Everdrive safe to use on the Famicom?

I was thinking about getting an Everdrive N8 Pro for my Famicom but I was wondering if they are safe to use since these carts have a lot of new tech in them. I assume they draw more power than standard carts and cause more heat to build up in the console. Famicom is 5v (I think) and most flash carts I've seen are 3.3v. Not sure about the Everdrive though. Anyone know anything about this?

Some flashcartridges and modern unlicensed carts that are using 3.3 V parts are cheaping out on voltage translation to 5 V and these are not entirely safe to use. I'd stay away from those.

The Everdrive N8 and the newer N8 Pro however have always used good voltage translation AFAIK, so they are completely safe to use.
They draw more power than normal carts, but that isn't really a safety concern. It only matters if your AC-adapter is too weak to deliver enough power, in which case things may not function properly, but it shouldn't be dangerous.

So the components in the Famicom and it drawing extra power from the cartridge pins doesn't harm anything? My famicom gets quite a bit hotter when using the RAM adapter and I know it draws more power, but that could also be because it's blocking the vent on the back.

If it becomes hotter than other carts I'd bet it is marginally so, not enough to really matter. Someone with more expertise may have a more accurate answer though.

The Famicom doesn't have a fan or anything so I kinda doubt blocking those vents slightly like the RAM-adapter does has any noticeable effect on the temperature.
Also the FDS RAM-adapter shouldn't be drawing any more power than a normal cartridge. It is just a RAM cartridge with a special mapper chip containing a BIOS ROM and other stuff. It shouldn't be terribly different from a SMB3 cartridge for example which is also just ROM, RAM and an MMC3 mapper chip.
