Is there a Japan release of Kung-Fu, or is that cart released in another country?

Yeah, but what are the other cart? A Pirate? A release from another country? Or is Spartan X released in Japan even as Kung-Fu?

I think there were some official Hong Kong ports of some games.  They all had funky labels like that.  There's a couple of them on |tsr's NES Archive, but the whole atarihq domain seems to be down right now.  I'll post a link later if the site comes back up.

either way, Kung Fu pretty much sucks. Its only worth keeping around if on a multicart, the game only version is pretty worthless.

No way!  Kung Fu is great!  It's all about learning patterns and perfect execution.  I played it for about a week straight and  I was able to loop through the game like 3 times on one set of lives.

Maybe he's talking about the value of the cart, not the game itself.

Kung-Fu is original Japan not Hongkong port. This cart is very rare and very high value. It made limited ediition.

We've chatted about this before: http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=418.0

Hope that helps. :) The carts pictured above are legit.

did they ever release Kung Fu 2 in the U.S.? I remember seeing it in magazines back in the day, but never ever saw the game in stores.
