1. Do I need a power pad to play Track Meet?

2. Will a Game Genie work on a toploader? If not, can I modify it to do so?

1) Yes, you need a Power Pad to play Track Meet.

2) Technically, it will work.  However, it is a very tight fit and you'll have a hard time getting it out of the toploader.  When the toploader came out, Galoob released an extender for the GG that would make it fit nicely.  Those are hard to find now, though.

As far as modifications go, you could probably crack the case open and just use the bare insides.  With the plastic case off of it, I imagine it will fit with room to spare.

1) Thanks for the help

2) I tried it before with The multi cart with World Class Track Meet, Duck Hunt, and SMB. I got a signal (as in no static), but only a gray screen. Any tips on how to get it to work?

Also, is there a list of some kind of what games will work with either the NES Max or the Advantage?

2) Sounds like dirty contacts.  Clean the Game Genie the same way you would clean any other cartridge and try it again.

3) The NES Max and NES Advantage are regular controllers.  They'll work with any game that uses a controller.

Thanks... but how do I clean it? Qtip and what?

Qtip and Isopropyl alcohol works well.

Not as good as the alcohol, but it should work pretty well.

Rob64

Ok, then where do I get the isopropyl?

If you have seriously corroded contacts on anything, then toothpaste on a Q-tip works very well...followed by a good cleaning with contact cleaner to remove any remaining toothpaste and final clean the contacts.

If corrosion is the issue, then contact cleaner or alcohol alone will not do anything to fix the problem.

Any store with any sort of a pharmacy section should have it (it's used for sterilization).

A main ingredient of Windex, btw, is isopropyl alochol.

Electronics stores also carry it because it's used for cleaning audio/video heads, cartridge edge connectors, circuit boards, etc.
