I agree with Jedi.  First one is my favorite.

While I think the first Saw movie had the best premise, I humbly throw out in the open the notion that Saw 2 was slightly superior. Why?
Tobin Bell, Jigsaw himself, has quite the onscreen persona. The first Saw set up the entire second movie, including his mole\apprentice in the housetrap. His Jigsaw character was a beatiful portrait of a calculating punisher... SPOILERS
There were so many small bits of excitement, whether Jigsaws purposeful capture, he promise to deliver the kidnapped son as long as they just stay in the room and talk, the connection between the people picked to be in the house.
Granted, the traps were not the best (I think the later movies had them more interesting). And the whole movie climaxes with Donnie Wahlberg getting captured in the original Saw room to be used\tortured  by the new apprentice. Sweet!
Saw 1 was definitely more intimate... although realisticly I wouldn't think Jigsaw would be able to stay on the floor playing dead for the whole movie.

There's my two cents!
Dance, puppets... dance!

What I wonder is... what would John do if the kidnapped son got killed? :-\

In the 4th one he says, he just let's everything play out but still seems stupid to me.  Also, I just hate where the second one was going in general.  Why'd they have to bring Amanda back? Why was she cutting herself? Didn't we already have someone like that?

I would rank the Saw III second.

I didn't even know there were six. Crazy. Gotta have gotten bad at some point.

Tobin Bell said in an interview that there's going to be a total of 8 movies, so I'm looking forward to the eighth, just to see how it all ends.  I still haven't seen V or VI, though. :-\

;D V and VI are pretty interesting...

if you ever get a chance give them a look :P

Of course the first one was the most unpredictable, because you didn't know the scheme yet. So for me, it's part 1, too. Later on it just became a bit too predictable and spiced up with violence for the sake of violence.  :-\
This doesn't mean I didn't watch them.  ;) For relaxation I also like to watch predictable and not so sophisticated movies.

Now it's 8?  So they decided not to end it at 7? Sweet Jésus!

Mindfreak

I thought 7 was the end as well...

I just hope it ties everything up and doesnt suck at the same time :-\

I would say the first one is my favorite.

Saw 1 definately, the other ones, while entertaining seemed kinda lazy.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...
