External Hard Drive Recommendations?

Uh. what exactly is the point of your post? I'd already found a solution to that problem long ago, and I edited my post too...

1TB is a bit of an overkill, isn't it? I can't see myself downloading, ahem, backing up more than 20 or so games.  I use a very old 80GB HDD that uses IDE, with and IDE to USB adapter, and it works like a charm.

Too much? Really? I have almost 1TB of "Wii media" on mine, so I think you're wrong.

If you use your Wii a lot, and like being able to download what you want without having to worry about space, then 1TB is definitely not overkill. Especially considering Wii games are generally at least 7GB in size.

Whaaaa? I thought the average was 2.5. I have yet to own a game larger than Smash Bros., which is almost 7GB.

The only backups I've downloaded are Tatsunoko VS. Capcom, SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, and a few others, and they were all at least 7GB I think.

I just looked at my list, and Mario Kart Wii is only 2.63 GB, SSBB is 6.98GB, & Tatsunoko VS. Capcom is 1.44GB. There are only a handful around 7GB, most are around 1-3GB. For some reason, I thought they were larger, too.

Really? When I downloaded TvC, the file was like 7GB. I wonder what all of that other space was used for.

Maybe I'll plug in my HD and check, but my list has it as 1472 MB. Strange.
