I don't understand how knowing what websites I'm on and what porn I watch is gonna help them find terrorists or whatever they say they're out for.

FUCK YEAH SEAKING!

The proposed legislature wants to monitor and regulate all communications systems (not going to happen thankfully) so yes, IM and MSN are included.

I'm glad it's not happing

I don't want the goverment to watch who I chat with

Government also wants to mandate IDs for everyone. Beware on this one too. More than a few choice words should be given to the people responsible for all of this. Time is ticking... tick... tock...tick...tock...tick...tock!

Thought it was over? I knew it wasn't.

New shit the US congress is trying to spin up us.

Of course, you can always take the easy way out... temporarily... or you can fight to protect your freedoms. :bomb:

I knew this would be ongoing... Firstly, we need to oust the congressmen with lobbyists that are pushing this type of bill. It's time for more details, and we need to track who votes 'yea' or 'nay' on it each time, and put the pressure on them directly.

Naturally, I've already signed the Demand Progress petition, which had over 325,000 signatures last time. Won't you sign it too? (hint)

The same asswipes are both trying to renew the PATRIOT Act (again) *and* make some of its provisions permanent law.

This is likely due to fears that it may eventually dissolve, as the American majority has been demanding for years. This bill needs to die forever!

Some of you are lucky enough to live in a place with progressive congressmen, and some are stuck with Sith lords. Write them anyway, and let them know that their re-election to any office and your future vote depends on them voting down both of these unconstitutional bills.

What we need here is a right of recall, 'no-confidence' vote for the American people to be able to recall any governmant official from office.

In fact, that would be a real 'Patriot Act'... :bomb:

Have you seen my post on how, they are attempting to tax electronic payments too?

Basically those people sexting on MSN, and other related networks.
SKYPE is a widely used program that is going up against phone companies
.......

Your not going to get in trouble for using privatized programs for your own personal gain. Unless your going to canary FFVII:Advent Children

So how can we fight back? Boycott cars, cable tv, super markets, wireless phone, and tell Obama not to sign a bill that will force taxes on your electronic payments, and just elect the crazy lady.

The first thing I did was sign the Demand Progress petition, the second thing I did was tell everyone to do the same (each person was told differently to reflect how they naturally think to make it more likely for them to sign and spread the word... took hours, but hopefully the efforts will prove worthy.

Hopefully the Patriot Act bill be burned forever never becoming anywhere near permanent law.

I'm voting progressive all the way! The right-wingers also will be hearing from me.

Why, yes it would be.
