A few days ago I uploaded a copy my passport, company registration proof, and a recent phone bill.
"EU regulation".
Makes my uncomfortable to know they have all of this floating around in their system, probably being reviewed by some guy in India right now.

When they get hacked, the hackers will have my whole identity.... And I probably have to take the blame for it, I can only assume paypal has ensured they don't have to take any responsibility whatsoever. They have so many loop holes. Such as:
1. we are not a bank so we don't have to follow bank regulations.
2. we are not based in your country, so we don't have to follow the regulations of your country
3. you agreed to our user agreement, we take no responsibility whatsoever if someone steals all your money. In fact, you owe us 500$

Seriously, I'm on the verge of cancelling my paypal account and I won't link my card to it after recent policy updates.

You shouldn't have to upload a copy of your passport, heck I'm in the EU and I don't have to - nor would i for that matter.
It bothers me enough that they have my phone number etc.  I wiped all that data last week.

I had thought that this was confined to the charisma of 80sFreak, but I'm starting to see a lot of problems with paypal, even for buyers-only like me.

I feel ripped off i didn't get my arse shaved :( and didn't you cave to peer pressure and now use paypal 80sFREAK ?

80sFREAK

I don't like paypal(especially their fees, which varies LOL) and still prefer Neteller over it and accept it with higher priority. And lots of people surprized about fees - "paypal! free to send money" with fine print "there is some fees to recieve money".  By the way, i think i still can accept ANZ and BNZ ;)
