She downloaded video games and music to the PC using the internet that were unavailable to purchase and this is what they do, regardless, they have no right to hit their child as brutally as like this.

Once I started seeing that bastard hitting her my anger awoke and I got really worked up to the point of wanting to beat the crap out of him, not only he was brutally abusing her but she also suffers from ataxic cerebral palsy.

What hasn't been said? Abusing a child over downloading music? And this guy's a judge!

As a side topic for the younger members here, how did your parents regulate your internet usage (if at all)? I can't relate because by the time I really started accessing the Wide Web of Doom™ I was 16/17... & this was in 2001/2002 when AOL & dial up were still prominent.

Im only 16 but i can remember the latter days of dial up, my parents really only didnt let me go on facebook or any other social networking site till i was 13 other than that they didnt really care (other than the obvious stuff of course)

Hell, I'm 15 and I remember dial-up. The dial-up sound ranks up there with Ms. Pac-man and Nicktoons on my "nostalgia scale".

My mom never really restricted my internet usage except for when I had a bedtime.  I was never monitored on things like Bebo (back in 7th/8th grade) or Facebook (8th grade to now). My mom never had a Bebo, and although she's added me on Facebook, I declined her request and she's alright with it.  Any monitoring she may have done by just standing behind my back when I used our desktop computer was about it.  Ever since I got a laptop, that obviously stopped.
