I've been considering something similar for a Famicom tabletop arcade but can nevre settle on deciding what I want.

It's a project that stays in my head and changes every 4 months :S

But every time I keep thinking how great it would be to have a famicom cab with Sanwa parts and a famicom holster gun hooked up!

[Yeah, which is why there probably isn't a jamma converter for the NES (that I know of anyhow). With other jamma converted consoles you just grab the RGB signal and go into an arcade chassis via the jamma harness. It doesn't cost much to grab a universal arcade chassis and a TV tube.

I really don't like the idea of an arcade cab with a composite video signal but I'm rather picky when it comes to that stuff.

He's not really building an arcade cab he's building a nes cab much like that picture I posted.

BTW, I may actually be able to make actual arcade controls now, rather than using Arcade Advantage sticks.

Also, if this project is successful, I may try building some other cabinets as well!  For instance, how awesome would it bee to have a Recca arcade cabinet!?  Plus, if I can use actual arcade controls & solder them to the controller PCBs, I can pretty much make these out of any console I want!

Anyway, the project is looking like it's going to be definite, so now it's just a matter of time.  In the meantime, I'll draw up some sketches of what I have in mind & post them here.
