What Would Be The Best Controller To Mod A Famicom Controller?

After I get a new MacBook, due to mine being old and VERY glitchy, I was thinking about getting a RetroN 5, because I can use NES controllers to play Famicom games. That being said, I have a Famicom Zelda cart that I would like to use the mic trick on. The RetroN 5 lets you use NES/SNES/Genesis controllers for games from the other systems, so I could use a SNES controller for Genesis fighting games that need 6 buttons.  Between the SNES or Genesis controller, which would be the better controller to mod for a player 2 Famicom controller with the mic? Is it even possible to have a Famicom controller modded to work as a SNES or Genesis controller, so that I could play Zelda with it? If so, is there anyone willing to do it for a good price?

The mic is connected to bit D2 on Controller I on the Famicom. This doesn't exist in NES controller ports, only in the expansion port of the NES. I don't know if RETRON 5 has this port or if it has any kind of support for the mic at all.

I didnt know that they took it out, why would they take it out of the cart version? I thought it worked on all famicom versions except on the av famicom system.

as for modding a controller it shouldnt be too hard to add mic support to another controller if u know what ur doing but i feel the retron wont support mic in any shape or form

After doing a bit of research the cart version does support the mic,my bad.
