:help: I took my FDS apart and can't get it back together. Before that though I was getting "Battery err.02." Can anyone help?  :help: :-\ :'(

Maybe this helps http://www.famicomdisksystem.com/tutorials/fds-repair-mod/belt-replacement-adjustment/ getting it back together. Lots of pictures at least.

Are you using batteries or AC adapter? If using batteries it could obviously be bad batteries or low quality batteries (or bad connection between battery box and disk drive) but if you are using AC there might be a bad connection between power board and disk drive or something.

Assuming everything is together correctly, it might be something with the rails/lubricating. I had the exact same problem when I replaced my FDS belt, and I triple-checked to make sure I put everything together, so I knew it was something mechanical. Do you hear anything at all from the drive when it starts up? I didn't hear any spinning, knocking, etc. Just the red light and no sound clued me in, so I removed the cover to watch what happened on startup. Nothing moved at all! My problem was that the rails needed lubrication, the drive head wasn't moving, so I used some oil and it worked good as new.

That site was vary helpful when my drive in my Twin was giving me the Err 27, Adjusting the spindle head was easy. I must thank who ever wrote that!
