Does the DS Lite Gold (Zelda Edt.) look nice?

I've seen the 3DS XL Gold and that thing is a beauty but I was thinking of buying a DS Lite Gold instead, though the problem is the gold colour just looks bland and unimpressive.

From a Google search:

I'm still unsure what to make of it. The quality of photos can also be one of the issues because the looks might be deceitful in real life.

I'd like to know if anyone here owns a DS Lite Gold to give their honest opinion about it because it's an interesting model.

It's nice, but it's a muddy brown for sure.  They're quite expensive to buy - I much prefer the white DSL myself.

That's what worried me about it.

3DS XL Gold really looks spectacularly awesome.

The white DS Lite often has a problem with a crack in the shell however.

I haven't seen one in real life, but the picture doesn't impress me much either.  If it is gold, it should look gold, not like that thing.

You can just buy the outer casing for far less than a whole DSL would cost and if you don't like it you've not blown an obscene amount of money on it. Though the metallic red and blue DSL consoles are quite sexy
