Is this a real prototype?

So I saw this auction for a Rendering Ranger prototype. Seems like a cool game, but I wonder if it really is a prototype or just a homemade cart:

EDIT: shipping is 40 euro. Seems unserious to me.

Looks dodge to me - I don't think they would have used an official Nintendo board myself (wheras a repro builder would).

looks like an official test cart to me, nothing fishy here
cannot guarantee what the eproms hold though, maybe a beta maybe the seller burned them

edit: do a "Nintendo EPROM Board" image search to see more eprom boards  ;)

Looks like I jumped to conclusions.  You could say it is an official board after all with some bolt-ons.

Wonder what it'll end at.

£364 for a cartridge that's kinda shocking, I know there's been others which sold for thousands of dollars but this is still quite impressive. :o

I'll be watching this auction just to see how high it goes.

Thanks for this, although, sorry I can't be of help.

Well, Rendering Ranger goes for a silly price anyway - so this will be higher as a result.

Well, this as certainly interesting. If the cart is the real deal I guess the price was right. It would be a one of a kind version of a highly sought after game. Not that I´d be prepared to pay that much anyway.
