I don't think Disk Writer games cam with an outer box actually - I think you just got handed the disk back and a manual with stickers, that's all you would have needed after all.  Slip cases and boxes are not game-unique.  The manuals were needed and sticker labels to well, label - but I haven't heard of them handing out fresh new boxes and sleeves, it was a rewrite service after all.

I wonder how accurate the Game Center CX movie was...

Yeah I think so too, but I think you also get the obi for the game when you write it. The slip case, hard case and possibly outer box probably comes with the empty disk when you buy it.

I think my diskwriter games has the outerbox too, but I have no idea if it has been added later by a previous owner of course.

I don't have a link to the movie, but it's all in Japanese as well I should note

Are we sure that Disk Writer games came as a blank disc?  I thought you just re-wrote a regular disc perhaps.  I would like to see an unwritten disc package, but it seems difficult to find one.

大事なのは、オチに至るまでの積み重ねなのです。

That's what I heard anyway. It would suck if you couldn't get a diskwriter game until you have first bought a package game and then destroyed it by rewriting the disk.

Haven't seen anything that looks like empty disk packages either, like the Nintendo Power carts for Super Famicom and Game Boy. But there might never been any if the cashier provides you with the blank disk in case you don't bring your own (probably still cheaper than package games).

I wonder if it even works? I bought three official copies, all of which the disk system failed to read. Thankfully Fdsstick is around now.
