I have no idea if this is the right place to ask about this, but it certainly doesn't hurt to ask, since there are so many video game collectors and enthusiasts.

I just want to know where's the best place to find a brand new Super NES Donkey Kong Set. As of this writing, I only see a couple of used ones on Ebay. Although the chances are low, if any of you have this valuable collectible you want to sell for a reasonable price, let me know, because I really want it. Where else can I find out more about this unique item.

I am doing this mainly for collection purposes. Please help me on this.

Is it a really rare set? Because two weeks ago I saw it at a flee market for 25$. The system looked in near mint condition, and it came with all its plastic bagies and notices and of course, the game Donkey Kong Country. :)

Does the Donkey Kong cart look unthrown?

Donkey Kong set? you mean Donkey Kong Country set (DKC 1-3)? probably ebay for that.

I'm pretty sure it's hard to find a new one on Ebay. But I will keep looking. Man, I really want a new one right now, to complete my collection purposes. Yes, it's called the Super NES Donkey Kong Set. It includes the game Donkey Kong Country along with the system. It was in retail stores for a few years, from 1994-1997.

Ohh i see what your asking for. SNES system + DKC as a packin. Gooooooooooooooooooooooooood luck on that one.

It makes me feel regretful that I didn't get one when I had the chance. The first time when I got into the SNES was in 1996 when I graduated from middle school, and I got to pick which system I wanted. There was the Killer Instinct Set, Donkey Kong Set, and Mario Set. I thought the Mario Set was cool, so I got that one. And even after I got that, there was always something in the back of my mind that I may like to have another one or Donkey Kong Set. But I didn't want my parents to know that I got another system that's identical to the first, since most people who just plays games and not collect them would think that's really silly and an absolute waste of money. I kept visiting my nearby Toys R Us just to look at video games, in particular Super NES games, and Donkey Kong Set was always right there in front of my face until late 1997.

But hey it's never too late. If I saw one last week it must mean that there might be others just lying there waiting to be bought somewhere else. Infact, my grand mother used to have this set.  :)

Excuse me for asking, but what exactly is a flee market and how do I find one? I've heard this term for several years, but I never got a feel for what it is. I ask because you said you found a mint condition Super NES Donkey Kong Set at one, so I am curious.

A flea market is a place where a bunch of random people get together to sell crap they don't want. It's like eBay, only, instead of being online, it's physical. You can walk around and see everyone's "store." Sometimes it's held in a building with everyone setting up a booth, but often it's set up outside in a parking lot. People pay a small fee for the space to set up their stuff.

Thanks to JC for the explanation.

flea markets are usually held on weekends, espitcally on sundays. They sell old vintage stuff (one I went to recently had a Star Wars Return of the Jedi sketchbook full of concept art printed in 1983 and I paid $.50 cents for it. didja know that orignally the Ewoks were going to have 15 foot legs that resembled a clown on stilts? Its crazy!
