Let’s see those custom Famicoms

My Famicom has AV ports in the back, with stickers that indicate the change, it also has front positioned controllers which extend the length of the wires by 5.5", it also has a power LED from a SNES, 15ft AV cables and a 10ft Neo Geo controller extender for my Joypad.

What does yours look like?

My everyday Famicom is an RGB-modded AV Famicom, which I LOVE the product design of.  Not as iconic as the original red & white, but it feels like tidiest and I like the slightly NES aesthetic, which was what I grew up with.  I do use an original Famicom controller on it, much more ergonomic than the NES controller and I prefer it to the AV Famicom's.

I'll try and upload a picture.  Nothing staggering, but I'm considering customising it in a custom lacquer job.

BTW it is not that hard to stick the label proper way use a ruler for example to level it

Mine is not super modified in a visual sense, but it does have some major mods in its functionality:

Installed NESRGB kit, NESRGB-IGR and RGB LED, flush cut the LED so that it is a level.flush mount.

So both my AV Famicom and NES Toploader have the same mods only the NES had to have a 3D printed mount for the Nintendo Style AV port to SCART.

The NESRGB Kit enables you to get cleaner composite and an RGB signal out of the machine, the NESRGB-IGR enables you to reset the machine and change color pallets from the controller and the RGB LED will obviously show you that the machine is on but also the chosen color pallet (with the LED changing from pink, red or blue depending)

The real magic takes place in the back of the custom built cabinet.  I designed the cabinet to have a false back with a 6" recess to accommodate all the powering wires and AV connections.



There you can see that each system is connected via an RGB SCART cable that is plugged into a GSCART auto switch, that outputs to the OSSC which upscales to an HDMI output that the ASUS 27" gaming flat panel can understand.

So all you have to do is turn on the machine you want to play and get the controller from the storage draw in the bottom of the cabinet and play the game.  I spent a lot of time designing it all and figure out out how to get it all to work seamlessly.

That's some pretty decent cable management also. I'm definitely approving of this as a whole.
