Wanted: Family BASIC V3 - I'm looking for the red V3 version of the Family BASIC. I can't seem to find any on any online sellers and I don't need the keyboard (already have one) but I'd like to get the V3 if possible. If anyone here has one and would sell it I'd be willing to pay top dollar for it. In addition, if anyone is going to japan anytime soon and would mind looking for one for me, I'd be willing to pay you for it as well as some extra for your touble. Thanks guys.

Try member jonathan_smith on this forum. He lives in Japan and might be willing to find it for you.

I am still very interested in this item, if anyone lives in Japan and could get it, I'm hoping I can make a deal with you to be able to pick up a copy. Or people with access to yahoo Japan. Please note I'm looking for the red cart V3,  not the black V2. Thanks.

whoa sweet manuel. I'd really appricate that. But that begs the question why then? Thats quite some time from now! :D I thought you already live in Japan?

edit: I have the Family Basic V3 rom, but I can't do anything with it because the rom treats the nonexistant cartridge as being on the on mode, which prevents the cart from booting properlly. Does anyone know a way around this? This would of course limit the usefulness to an emulator, but I'd still like to see the V3 in action.

The V3 rom works fine for me in FCEUXD SP.  You don't get a fancy welcome screen or anything like V2, just a command prompt.

ah I see. Well its very unlikely that I will be able to find one anytime soon for anything close to a reasonable price if at all. I'm garunteed to take you up on your kind offer  ;D
