Hi!

I am glad to find a Famicom community!

I am living in Japan and bought an already used Super Famicom last Sunday with Super Aleste and Super Mario World 4.

But the console seems to not work. I connect the RGB output on the TV like I always done with my Playstation 2 or DVD player, but nothing appears...

Then i called back the shop and they sent to me a another one I got today.

But same. Nothing appears....

Then I found an old TV, it works fine with the PS2... but nothing with the the Super Famicom...

And then I called back the shop... they are sending back money... but they said they do not understand because they test all their product...
I am the first surprised because this is a very big shop. and in Japan this kind of problem is also very rare...

Then does someone already got the problem with a Super Famicom before?

My TV are : Samsung LCD TV and ORION 14CN5 14''

Really thank you if someone has an issue to this problem... games are waiting on the shelf  :'(

133MHz

Is it a Super Famicom or a Super Famicom Jr. ? The Jr. model has less video functionality even if the connector matches.
Anyway, try a standard composite or RF lead if possible to rule out problems with the console itself.

I do not know...

But the about the RF thing I need to do extra cable modification, isn't it? I read that in the manual but...  ???
Is there any English documentation I could found on internet speaking about it? because Japanese kanjis are not my best point  :-\

Really thank you for your help  :-[

Here are 2 pictures of the 2 consoles...
