I got a great idea. I post a pic of a game, and the person who gets it gets to post the next picture. The first person to stump everyone (No right answer in 5 days) wins... well... Nothing really. Well here goes for number 1!

Let's play who didn't bother to upload their screenshot image to an imagehost instead.  Not only are you wasting another site's bandwidth, you also left the title of the game embedded in the filename.

I've got no idea what this means, But I smell sarcasm!

Is the game sweet-home-sweethomemansion.png?  I GOT IT

but someone else can post the next picture I don't really wanna.

Bandwidth is how much data is being sent over the internet.  It's not free and there may even be limits on it, like how you need to pay to have phone service.

By linking the URL of another site's picture you're wasting their bandwidth because the picture data is being sent over from their site every time someone looks at this thread.

There are sites that are for people upload pictures to so they can share them on the internet, those are called imagehosts.  Uploading is taking a file from your computer and sending a copy of it somewhere else.

By using imagehosts instead of linking another site's picture you use the imagehost's bandwidth (which is meant to used that way) instead of the site's bandwidth (which is not meant to be used that way).

All files, including picture files, have names.  There are easy ways for people to check the filename of pictures on the internet.  The filename of the picture you linked has the name of the game it's from in it, which kind of ruins the point of trying to name the game the picture is from.

Okay, I get it. Now who's going next? This might be fun if we give it a go!

This is a fun idea, so I'll pick up the reins before this thread self-destructs. The answer to the first one was of course, Sweet Home. I'll try something a little more difficult but nothing impossibly hard. See if you guys can name this game?

P

Looks like Mugen Senshi Valis!

satoshi_matrix

Yup, you're correct. I guess I'll have to try for something a bit more obscure. How about this one?

Legend of the Ghost Lion (ホワイトライオン伝説)

satoshi_matrix

Correct. Dang, you are good.

I'll go with something a little harder now.
