It's not even so expensive as a set.
Rockman games are just very popular and thus sought after a lot, which drives the prices up.

Yeah prices on them do jump astonishingly.

I'm pretty happy with my mix and match collection of Rockman / Megaman and just play the Megaman games with a converter.

You can find Rockman multicarts for a cheap price, I grabbed one for about $17 a year ago from what I remember.

Yeah, but from what I've noticed there's one which replaces Rockman 2 with Rockboard and Rocman X. (The latter being the Sachen pirate, presumably)
