I recently bought 2 x nes controller cable extensions:http://www.tradera.com/2-x-forlangning-handkontroll-nintendo-8-bit-nes-nytt--auktion_300809_171065992
However, I'm having troubles with them, the controllers don't do what I tell them to do. Only button which seem to work like it should is the right on the dpad.
Anyways, I have to force this cable plug into the 4-score (yes I use 4-score) to get it all the way in. To remove it I need to use ALOT of force.
Without the cable extension my cfontrollers work just fine. But if I connect them, then everything is wacko.

So here's the deal:
Sharp twin Famicom -> Custom made 4-score -> NES controller extension cord -> PAL NES controller Works like shit
Sharp twin Famicom -> Custom made 4-score -> PAL NES controller Works perfectly

Could it somehow be related to NTSC vs PAL controllers? http://retro.mmgn.com/NES/Forums/Nes-Controller-NTSC-to-PAL-Conversion

The controllers I try with are: Model NES-004E

Here's the results (video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4rNxD-MdlY

Sounds like something is wrong with the extension cords. I'd check the pins in the cable for continuity and to make sure all the pins/wires are pass-through and it's not missing a wire or two.

yeah seems all cables went straight thru. they didn't mix either. however I noticed I had to put in the multimeter connector quite far into one of the holes for it to connect on the other side. might be problem with no connection there? I'm thinking of returning the two cables (both had same problem, but they made different button presses).  I still didn't get a response from the seller yet either.  :'(

Got a response from the seller and they said they didn't test the cable before and would send me two new cables.
Obviously they are faulty cables where one pin isn't connected.

Thx for help! :)

Got two extra cables from the seller... These two have the same problem. I'm thinking about keeping them all, and simply modding them. Cut them at the end, destroy an old NES controller which was broke anyways and use it's connector instead of the connector on the coord extension cable.

Here's a video of it:

Mod successful. I took 2 spare nes controller port connectors from what was left from my 4-score :D
Then I twisted each thin cable together with the other ones.
I glued each connectors in the end of each thin cable into port connector.

It displayed bad results at first. But then magically after sitting inside for a bit, it started to work like it should! Very weird.
Here's pictures of how I made it:

Here's a video to prove it works :P

Actually it stopped working. I didn't touch a thing.

You need to invest in a soldering iron that setup's not going to last and could possibility short out the controller/port
