Hi there, just a quickie, i foolishly decided to strip my FDS down to clean the magnetic head with a Q-Tip as it would not read a few of my discs  :-[, now after cleaning the magnetic head it now just stays on the loading disk screen :( any ideas

You have always helped me in the past and i appreciate it  :D

Just also remembered that i was using a magnetic screw driver if that might have something to do with it  :'(

It doesn't give error message?
I would ensure that the mechanism moves the way it should and is not stuck. There is a spring that pulls the drive back and it needs to hit on the back "thing". There are also springs that keep the plastic disk-carrier in place. You may just need to fiddle a bit with it, and ensure you have everything in place. Put back all the loose stuff and screws back.
If the device moves the way it should, it should give an error message if something is wrong.
