Hogan's Alley total take apart.

Knowing that hogan's alley is on the list of games to have the famicom to nes pin converter, i decided to open mine up, as i have never seen one besides on the internet.
There are a faw pictures of these, but here i will add my own.

I am not sure if people realize it or not,. but the pin converter is actually 2 seperate parts: the black bar with the female ports, and the board labeled "nes-joint-01" , with the male nes pins on one side & 60 pins on the other side to go into the black bar part.
I have pic's of them seperated.

Nice! Most of Famicom-boards in the NES games with a converter are of the glob top variant, but yours is not. Excluding your cartridge I've only ever seen one other that didn't have a glob top Famicom-board. I'm not an expert in this field, but I think they are pretty rare!

you mean just one other cart period, or one other hogan's alley?

I always like seeing NES carts with HVC chips in them. But I'm not sure since this is a famicom game if it would count, but even the 72 pin version has HVC chips.

I remember that I was surprised when I took apart the Gold Punch Out and found a NES chr. (the famicomworld site is wrong to say the Gold is the only famicom game with a nes chip--actually famicom mike tyson's punch out has a NES chr and prg).

It's really interesting to me when games have chips from across the pond (like SMB having the HVC chips in it even if it doesn't have a converter).
