noobow gameboy

Just got noobow and am going to give it to my son at the end of the month.

A couple questions for the experts:

1. Is it noob-ow or new-bow or ? How do I say it?

2. Do you always have to go through the first section? Is there any way to save or skip it? (on a real gameboy)

pretty sure its pronounced noob-oh and you always have to play the first section every time you turn it on/off..
