Sega Wondermega owners? (esp type 1/"DSP" question)

Trying to find anyone that owns a Sega Wondermega, especially the original one, which had three buttons along the side.

http://www.segagagadomain.com/hardware-mega/wonder2.htm

From the description, "Next to the motorized CD door is a selection of DSP (Digital Sound Processor) buttons.  Unlike some stereo systems made around the same time as Wondermega, these DSP switches sound good and actually DO make a difference to the sound.  The "Game" selection adds a type of virtual 3D to the sound similar to Q-Sound used on may Capcom games.  "Ex-Base" selection adds a nice meaty base to the sound. "

I am very interested in this!  (part of my obsession with "best quality possible" for every system)  These options were apparently not on the Wondermega 2nd version, nor the JVC X'eye (US version).  Once upon a time someone had put up fan videos comparing the audio quality of different modes - they seem long gone years ago.  (i'd seen them in archive.org webpages somewhere)  I'd love to know whether it's possible to recreate the sound enhancement using some kind of in-computer special effect.  (there are winamp type 'enhancements' some which can plug into your whole computer's sound system chain apparently, so other sounds outside of winamp are enhanced too)  Or whether the enhancements only applied to Sega CD or worked for Genesis and 32x games as well, or even generic played CD's.

Most of all i'm curious what the enhancements actually DID and how hard it would be to 'emulate' them inside or outside a sega emulator.  I've long been fascinated by the Wondermega yet have never been able to hear one with those enhancements ever to know whether it's the killer improvement my imagination has me convinced it is.

Well the original Wondermega must be modified to use 32x. Its internal RGB wasn't connected to an output, and 32x requires RGB to operate.

It's just a DSP effect, exciting for the time and exciting to find it on a console, but not that exciting overall. You could achieve the same results via a good amp.

I love the Wondermega but have more sense than dollars, I'm not spending the required dollars for something that whilst incredibly cool, still only plays Mega Drive/CD games.
