Or paid money for it for the cart release as well.  I will say I own Othello (NES) that I bought for NES collection completeness but seriously I HOPE no one paid money to rewrite something good like Akumajou Dracula. Jesus.

There are quite a few games, like Othello, that just plain suck. Sometimes you gotta question what the developers were thinking.

It would have been much better if it was based on the Shakespeare play rather than the board game.
