Do the NES Controllers Have More Wires?

I was wondering if the Quickshot or other 3rd party turbo NES controllers have more wires, or the same amount. If they have more, would it be enough to rewire a 2nd player Famicom controller to work on an NES? If the RetroN 5 ever comes out, it has a Famicom cart slot, and while the NES controllers make a great player one controller, I need something to perform the Famicom/FDS Zelda mic trick. I have a RetroN 3 right now, so if someone made one for me, I could use my pin converter for now, to test it out!

NES gamepads have the same 5 wires as the famicom ones. I built an adapter to use NES gamepads on my famiclone, they work beautifully.

Famicom player 1 and NES controllers are 5 wires.  Player 2 Famicom controller has 6 wires - the blue wire is for the mic.
