It annoys me when people bash good games because someone gave it a negative review, and I always base my opinions on actually playing it.

Tell me about it. Recently an associate of mine claimed that Batman: Return of the Joker is a bad game. I questioned him as to why he thought this, and he had nothing. The only thing he could bring up was the so-called "cheap deaths" shown in the AVGN episode. So, he was bashing a game he has never played, simply because AVGN sucks at it? The overwhelming number of people with this mindset frightens me.

Oh yeah, Batman: ROTJ is another one of those...again, a game that's actually quite easy once you learn it a bit. There are sections where it's easy to die, sure, but it's nearly as easy to learn where they are and learn how to deal with them properly. I was going for a no-death clear on that one as well (the Famicom version actually, but still) but I got distracted by something else so I've merely cleared it without using a continue. The game does have some real flaws and I would only call it an average game at best, but cheap deaths aren't one of its problems.

Damn kids today...have a game that requires the tiniest bit of practice and it's all "waah waah so cheap nintendo hard where's the cheat codes why isn't there a tutorial".

I actually just got done beating Batman: Return of the Joker. I personally loved it, very different from the original Batman game. Great in its own unique way, I also noticed the sprites were extremely large. The soundtrack rocked too. Sadly I don't have the actual copy of it yet, I was playing a pirate cart... I'll be getting it in a few weeks though.

Oh God, this reminds me so much of certain crybabies I know.

At L___E___T, I played through Gun+Nac twice today, I'm not sure how much of it you played... but I'd strongly recommend you give it another chance, and try to play it through if you haven't already. The final few stages were actually pretty tough, ranked right up there with a lot of the shoot 'em ups I've played in the arcade. I don't think you'll like it more than Crisis Force, no, but I'd be interested in hearing your experience with the later levels... especially the final one.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...
