Alright, a little debriefing:

- They gave me another unit, for no cost
- It looks like this one's been refurbished. It's got scuffs where the stands insert, and it was covered in some gunk. Nothing a little cleaning couldn't fix.
- The only data I lost were my Wii save files. They weren't too important, but I know how to get some back.

Once again, I thank my masters for their mercy. The blessed Iwata's grace has saved yet another soul.
