Non gaming related hobbies.

So do any of you have non gaming hobbies ?
I am a wee bit of a seamstress and have done some cosplay costumes in the past. I'm about to embark on an epic sewing project of making a full length coat with a dragon skeleton sewn into it for that boyfriend of mine I never shut up about  Depending on how much of a pain in the arse it is I may end up doing a limited run of them for some extra cash.

So do any of our other famicom world lovelies  have some interesting and creative hobbies

Man, we would be good friends I think.  I also enjoy playing guitar, uke, and piano / keyboards.  And when I have inspiration, then I also write songs and have performed some of them at open mics and what not.  Too bad my singing sucks.

I also enjoy studying foreign languages (especially etymology), reading, writing, and my favorite form of exercise is sex and then running, ah hahaha. 

Also am a big fan of wine making and brewing.  I am quite proud of my family history, as my ancestors used to make wine in the Dutch courts for the royalty, or so I've heard.  So every time I make a batch of something, I feel like I am upholding the family heritage and tradition.

I have a lot of hobbies but I don't have so much time for them nowdays. This includes both right- (creative) and left-brain (logical) hobbies:

- Drawing - mostly with pencils. Haven't drawn since forever though and I'm pretty rusty
- Fishing - I also like fishing games
- Karate - I'm interested in martial arts in general
- Karaoke - although I don't really get the chance to do it very often in Sweden
- Programming - a bit gaming related though, as I occasionally try to make games. Although I learned the basics in school, I learned the rest mostly from internet resources and such so I'm really not very advanced. Languages I've programmed in through the years includes: BASIC (various variants like Family BASIC and QuickBASIC), C, C++, Ruby, 6502 assembly (the CPU that Famicom uses), Z80 assembly (Game Boy and lots of other older consoles, computers and calculators uses this CPU) and PIC assembly (a microprocessor used in various electronic products). Quite a lot for a hobby programmer eh.

I'm jealous of people that can play instruments or compose songs. My music teacher in school was chronically ill and they didn't bother to get a substitute teacher, so we received almost no music education. As a result my knowledge of music is very limited and I can hardly read notes. I wish I had started playing an instrument as a kid.

i like to build or modify stuff nothing particular it could be from arduino to building a backyard porch i just enjoy it i also enjoy learning how things work or the concept behind things  i find that stuff fun i really want to get into robotics and am super lucky because even though i live in a really small town (mainly only electives or clubs we have are sports related) my chemistry teacher is starting a class about robotics

I wish I had any sort of musical talent but alas I just suck at being musical. My drawing skills are awful though I do sometimes give it a go but I just don't have the time to refine the skill

Some activities that I consider my hobbies:

-go for long downtown walks for exercise/Wii Fit
-cook for the girlfriend and myself
-watching TV/Netflix
-snuggling with my girlfriend
-designing LEGO models digitally (being a product designer was one of my dream jobs since I was 4 years old )
-paint digital art
-learning programing
-learning basic Japanese

I collect baseball cards and have a Japanese model railroad that I am working on.  I used to do a lot of outdoors stuff (hiking, long distance bike rides), but since I moved to the middle of a massive city a couple of years ago I haven`t had much chance to do that these days.

I have an N scale layout, its the only thing that can fit into a tiny Japanese apartment

Nice to see some similar hobbies that are enjoyed.

I'm interested in a lot of other mixed-media kind of things. Playing guitar/music and other instrumentation. I used to draw a lot growing up and thought about bringing back ideas to do animation to my writing/music. I also like photography and film but a purist in the sense of any digital editing.

Thanks    I know what you mean, I actually just got back into trains for the first time in years.  Lack of space (and time) sucks!
