More differences:

29. Hiroshi is changed to Mark (the character on his shirt is "hi" for Hiroshi in the prototype).
30. Baryuu is changed to Bert.

31. When entering a room in the proto you start at the exit although you can't exit until the boss is defeated. In the NES version you start in the middle of the room and there's no visible exit until you defeat the boss. Either way you can't exit until the boss is beaten.
