Has anyone played/been playing this? It's really hilarious how many bugs there are in it, even compared to the original (which was incredibly buggy and weird).  It's nothing earthshaking compared to the Monster Party proto differences, but the intro with the karaoke lyrics is a groovy thing IMO, kind of (a lot like) the Famicom version of Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode.

Anyway, I don't know if this is in bad form, but I did a playthrough of it for HG101 the other day, and if anyone wants to see some of the screwed up stuff in it, I just put it up on Youtube.  If this is an issue let me know, and  I'll kill the link:

Was this recently released? I must be living under a rock, haven't heard about this yet...

Yeah, it flew under the radar for me too - someone on HG101 posted a link to a NintendoAge thread about it last weekend:

There's a link to the rom on that thread; the guy was going to try to fix bugs but gave up and released it as is because it's seriously a mess.  The bugs are really fun though (mostly), and there's a few differences that were neat to see.  Speaking of which:
Another guy transcribed/did a translation for the "karaoke" lyrics at the intro if you're into that :).

So it was finally dumped? Great! Gotta check it out later!

Dudes, thanks for the mention on the front page...much appreciated, guys!

By the way, I forgot to mention....there's a boss that's only in the prototype, but for some reason he glitched out and just stood there in our playthrough ...someone said he'll shoot fireballs at you though; anyone been able to get him to fight back?

This is awesome, thanks for all the links! Definitely on my "to-do" list today now!
