FDS twin sharp famicom

"Please set disk" and nothing happens. it doesn't even try to load the disk. Any clue what might be wrong?
The belt is pretty new and still good.

If i disconnect the famicom disk system it will complain on batteries instead

Edit: Nevermind this. My problem was I had set the thingie which would detect if a disk was in the tray on the wrong side so it would never detect any disk inside the system.
Epic FAIL!
