<Warning>Stupid question incoming</Warning>

A NES circuit card or whatever its called is wider than a famicom one, now if one were to open a NES cart, saw off the 4 contact things on either side so it's as big as a Famicom cart... would it run on a Famicom?

You COULD theoretically etch your own circuit board and put the old ROM chips on it, put it in a small plastic yellow case, and call it "Mali Super Bro 50".

Yes, it would work. Converter use, Luke  :P
Extra pins are for "security chip".
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

But if you just sawing off a few pins on the side it won't work as is. A converter is probably the best way.
