I agree, but it gives one a whole lot more appreciation for the Zelda masterpieces (Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, etc...)

Zelda's Adventure isn't too bad for CD-i, when you don't force yourself to think of it as any part of the Zelda canon. It's live action cut sequences are quite interesting. They're much better than those ridiculous cartoon sequences in Zelda: Wand of Gamelon & Link: Faces of Evil.

all else is just rehashes and insanity passing

At 14 or 15 all I had was NES, SNES and Gameboy, and I could barely afford those.  :'(
