I asked AmiBay, and this is what I got.

I looked at the FM Towns PSU and there aren't any leaks; however, when plugged up and turned on, a strange whispering sound occurs. Most likely, it needs a power converter to keep it steady.

Taking it to a modern computer repair shop isn't likely going to help, because they are obviously ignorant about lesser-known Japanese computers.

Can you suggest me an arcade forum?

P

Assembler games I guess, but they are currently upgrading their servers so forum doesn't work at the moment. Otherwise I would look for a FM Towns specific forum to ask in.
Nesdev is also worth a shot, but you might not get as many replies since it's focused on Famicom game development.

Can you give me suggestions on what exact arcade forums to go to.

I tested out the voltage converter and it failed to keep the computer running.

Not an arcade forum, but you could try the Tokugawa Corporate forum.

Been there, done that. Still waiting for months.  Is a computer repair shop okay?

1, I do not have permission to post yet, and 2, someone else suggested a PC Engine forum.

P

Which PC Engine forum if I may ask?

P

I see, I'm a member there. They are dedicated to PC Engine and PC-FX but they are bigger than Famicom World so I guess it's worth a shot.

Taking it to a repair shop might be my best hope, after I found this. But the question is: what capacitors do I need to get exactly?

However, I'm not sure if all FM TOWNS models use the sane exact capacitors.

Just take it to the repair shop, they can open it up and find out which capacitors are needed and replace them if necessary.

I took it to a repair shop and they said it is best to find a working PSU by TDK CA02951-0620.
