I no longer have the Gamepad anymore and today I tried to play NES Remix and it required me to turn on the Gamepad just to load the damn game, even though you can use a Wiimote to play. Am I screwed?

Man, the Wii U is really poorly designed if I can't even OPEN a game without the Gamepad.  >:(  :o I just want to punch a hole through my Gamepad, but I don't even have it anymore. Nintendo is such a mental-midget for making these dumb decisions when designing the console.

I just tried opening every game I have downloaded on the system. My SNES VC games open, Wii Sports Club opens, and strangely Wind Waker HD opens with the Wii remote even though it doesn't support the Wii remote. So it really just depends on the software. Weird.

I don't think you are supposed to use the Wii U without the controller. Why would you sell it anyway??

Basically, I sold my Zelda edition gamepad so I can get money to buy Famicom stuff. Famicom stuff is more useful to me at this moment. I always plan on buying a regular black gamepad eventually. I researched if you could play Wii U without the Gamepad, and most people said yes.

Yes you can play without the Gamepad, but you need it connected anyway.... I was fine without it because I don't need it for Mario Kart 8, Smash, or Pikmin 3. But I am going to need the gamepad for Mario Maker and Art Academy.

I see, I bet there are more games out there that expects you to have the tablet pad. Better try get one back again.
