Just so you know, there do exist TSOP to DIP adapters for SNES.

(the item in question is TSOP Adapter III)

Yeah, there are standard TSOP to DIP adapters but these require rewiring and trace cutting. The TSOP chips also have a weird pinout, and unlike the DIP EPROMS they do not share a majority of the pin alignment. The ones I made up are pin matched to the Mask ROM. I am using a standard TSOP to DIP adapter to test my wiring and program my chips atm, and the bundle of wires you can see in my Original post is the result of the need for an adapter.

I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

Its pretty good, bought a kilo of it a while ago but have nothing to transfer the design with. Need to get some more transfer paper for prototypes

I got my protos today and they seem to work perfectly!

I desoldered the same chip that i was using in the hand wired adapter and all went well

Thanks!

I can confirm that the boards fit in the case without any modification. I have translated both FF1 and FF2 (using Demiforce's IPS Patch) and they both work, and fit in the original cases!

That was a great use of a sick day, soon i'll try my 040 boards in FFIII and (when it comes in the mail) Lagrange Point. I have Mother but i'm still looking for a copy of the Earth Bound ROM with the original Mother title screen. I'd alter an image myself but I have no idea what offset in the PRG to redirect... or what offset to redirect it to either for that matter.

I also need to wait for some more Flash chips to show up as I will only have one left after Lagrange point and Mother needs both the CHR and PRG replaced

Is there a re-translation of FF1? Or are you talking about the FF1+2 cart?
