I like this controller because it's bigger, feels like a NES controller should have, big but rounded edges. And turbo is nice to have.

BUT... I've been having some problems, and I wonder if it's my particular controller or if you others also had these issues.
It started with Contra, a lot of the time when I want to duck the controller interprets it as down+right or left. I figured that could just be my thumb slipping,
but then in Mario 3 my jump got cut short, as if the button wasn't pressed enough, very weird. Then I picked up the reguar P1 controller and it works perfectly.

Is it my controller or are Joycards like this for others?

I'd suggest taking it apart and cleaning the contacts.

I cleaned it just now but still in Mario 3 mario occasionally doesn't jump high even though I press A as hard as usual

Pikkon

It has turbo right?

If so than open her up and clean the slider pins and the slider contacts, that might help.
