Hey guys, how much should I ask for Hwang Shinwei 12-in-1?

fcgamer

Hi my friend, could I see a picture of the cart itself?  That menu seems so strange, compared to that of all the 12 in 1 Shinwei carts I have seen before.  Either way, I always sell mine for around $15 - $20

I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

I wish I could attach values to those but it feels like whatever someone's willing to pay.  I imagine FCgamer and Jay-Ray would offer you good coin for many of those...

Many of those don't exist.  Full SMW was never on a single cart, and the cut version (iirc) never made it other than globs, though MasterDisk would know better than me.  I think Magic Dragon likewise was never on chips.  All Night Nippon, did we ever establish that wasn't just a modern repro of sorts?

How can you price check that, which doesn't exist?   ;)   8)

That's a tricky one.  I think around $30 for less popular titles, ranging through to $60 up for full SMW.  But that's just my gut feel.

Conversions will always be chipped, unless it is a modern-made crap.  Keep in mind the conversions were made and came out in the late 1980s by Kaiser and Whirlwind manu.  Likewise, most WW Manu and Kaiser carts are also always chipped, though some WW Manu carts (reprints) got globs, but not the FDS ports.

For good FDS port games, price range starts at around $50 for a more common / less popular title, ranging upwards to $100 (sometimes more).  Something crappy like the Japanese Double Dribble obviously would go for less, imo around $20 - $25 is fair.  Likewise, SMB2j is a much more common game, and also sells for less (maybe the same price as Exciting Basketball).

Magic Dragon, I had found a small cache of those a long time back, but that ship has sailed a long time ago.  From what others in other circles have said about trying to find this game, I honestly think it is a $50 title.  If it is chips, it is a repro, and not worth anything.

Likewise, Super Mario World full version.  If it is a single cart, it is just a repro, and is not worth anything other than what some uneducated fool gets tricked into paying.  If it is chips, same thing applies...repro garbage, and not worth any more than the cost of parts.  For a legit version (i.e. on the multicart, with globs) the price point is between $300 - $500 I would say...

Also, I'm not trying to be mean, but I hold modern fakes trying to be passed off as legit in a low regard.  If someone wants the games just to play, everdrive or emulation works just fine.
