Nowadays, what is the cheapest way to write a Famicom Disk assuming the user has a write-enabled FDS, a disk to (re)write, and a Windows PC? What other, if any, hardware is needed?

Chowder has it, the FDSStick is beloved by quite a few people here on FW. There are other options such as the QDC (that I use and prefer) but they are considerably more expensive and difficult to order. The FDSStick (from what i've read) is fairly easy to use and versatile.

I own the QDC as well .. love the fact it came with all the adapter cables.

That being said, now that the FDSStick has a lot more memory, and a nice EVERDRIVE like menu .. is there any advantage left to the QDC (apart from the cool LCD screen)!?
