Hello, so recently the company who worked on my Dendy console (they converted the power supply to NTSC and also did a controller mod like in the video) has stopped responding to me so I can't get any responses from anyone else and I wanted to ask if it's possible to do an NES controller mod to an original Famicom?

I know I can buy an AV Famicom but I'd like original more to be honest, is it possible? I only want a Famicom because my Dendy is stuck in PAL mode despite the power supply being converted to NTSC.

Yes should be possible. It would even make controller II START and SELECT buttons work (because that logic is in the controller itself). I don't know if it's possible to get all the ports required for some NES specific peripherals like the NES Family Fun Fitness mat and NES Vaus paddle though. But the Zapper should work (in controller port 2) and the Fourscore/NES Satelite (unless you put the controller ports too far between so it can't be connected).

Also you have to think of a way to add the microphone, you could add a standard 3.5 mm microphone port (and maybe a volume control thingy) beside the controller port (like the Analogue NT Mini) I guess.

I just modded my P1 to fit directly into an NES shell and buttons - but I had trouble with the P2 version.  The bigger PCB just didn't want to fit.  You could probably grind it down.

Appreciate the tip on fitting the PCB in an NES controller but for me I wanted something similar to the mod because the Famicom controllers are so short  :-[ I like them but there's no way I can use them up close with how my setup is.
